Murder/Homicide:

Defendant was accused of an execution-style murder. He was originally convicted and sentenced to life in prison. He was successful in his appeal, and on retrial, was acquitted of all charges.
Defended a man who was reputed to be a major narcotics supplier who was accused of killing a drug dealer who owed him money. The client was facing life in prison. Our use of innovative technology during the trial was the subject of an article in a local newspaper. The jury came back with a lesser offense of Manslaughter. (Article Link)
Negotiated a murder charge stemming from a drive-by shooting to a reduced charge of Manslaughter where the Defendant was sentenced to ten years prison.

Racketeering and Organized Crime:

Obtained a dismissal of all civil and criminal racketeering charges alleging a multi-jurisdictional internet prostitution organization.
Successfully represented the reputed leader of a cocaine distribution network who was charged with racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, and trafficking. After the jury had been selected, opening statements made, and most of the government’s case presented, his client was offered 2 years’ probation, with early termination after one year.

Sex Offenses:

Obtained an acquittal for a schoolteacher who was charged with a sex crime, and stood to lose a substantial pension, if he had been convicted.
Negotiated a high school basketball coach accused of sex with a student to a probationary sentence with no sex offender registration requirements.
Tried a sexual battery against a helpless victim, punishable by life, to a verdict of a misdemeanor battery. The offer had been ten years prison. The Defendant was placed on probation after trial and did not have to register as a sex offender.
Negotiated a possession of child pornography case down to a misdemeanor offense and the client was placed on probation without having to register as a sex offender.
Negotiated a probation sentence for a stepfather accused of molesting his stepdaughter where the client did not have to register as a sex offender.
